Octatrack and other synths: How to manage patches?

I’m trying to prepare some livesets using the octatrack and nord lead 4r. The nord has a nice performance mode so I can keep 4 parts as 1 program together, which is a step in the right direction.

But how do you guys keep track of patches you use in other synths, and is there a way to prevent loosing your patches when you hit stop/start on the OT? I keep loosing my work over and over again because of this.
It sends the program change message to the nord on start, so the nord reloads the patch I was working on to its saved state.

I believe PROJECT - MIDI - SYNC will be your friend.

I run all my other machines manually, so can’t be of much help there.

I would not setup program changes on the OT until you have your patches they way you want on the Nord. Once you have them saved and you are ready to make it performance ready, then set the program changes for that project.

Yeah I did a set where I just stored the program changes in the first pattern of each bank (with a bank per tune)
That way as you switch from one tune to the next the synths all changed patches simultaneously.
