Octatrack ambient guitar piano performance video

Today I worked on something like a song and it turned out pretty ok, so I decided to try a little performance on the octatrack and show you how I built this card house. Feat. slicing, distorting vocals, midi tracks, master fx and pattern structure.

Still need to figure out how to glue the patterns together, so they are not so obvious as individual parts. Thanks for watching and your comments. Recording and performing on the octatrack are definitely two different games.

Thanks so much. My pleasure.

This is killer; love it. I’d be interested to see how you programmed the chopped up vocals (I haven’t watched the video in depth yet, just in case you explain it at the end…!)

I use random slices for the vocals. I live recorded the plocks in slice mode. Happy accidents. Thanks for your words.

Cool. I need to look up how to do that; I’ve only had my Octa for three days! Still finding my feet with its methods.
