i tried all sorts of different settings but just can’t get is to work, it’s probably something i have overlooked.
it’s still a bit abstract to me how to get these settings right.
i am using the Octa to trigger / sync the A4’s patterns so when i switch patterns everything goes well except when i am switching from a 16th length pattern on the octatrack (the same pattern on the A4 is 64 bars 1/2 ) to another pattern.
after the switch the A4 continues to play its pattern for the full 64 1/2
which setting am i missing here to make the pattern on the A4 sync to the length of the Octa’s patterns no matter the length of the A4’s patterns?
should both machines share the same scale and length settings per pattern?
ie. A01 on the octatrack should have the same settings as pattern A01 on the A4?
Since latest (1.22) update, pattern sync does not seem to work for me anymore at all Have you updated to 1.22, and is it still sorta working for you? /me stupid, it’s working, had to explicitly enable program change receive in the other menu than the program change channel number should be set… In my other project as well…
Answering your question… have you tried tinkering with the fn+Bank Group=Direct Change button? It has three states. One of them should be good for you!
I have exactly the same problem …
It happen with one of my arrangement only … When I switch for another arrangement it’ s ok , the A4 follow exactly the Octatrack …I haven’t find any different setting on both arrangements…

Btw, any way I can change the pattens on the A4 from the Octatrack? I was thinking maybe a midi track sending something on the Auto channel, but I couldn’t find anything like this…
