Octatrack = 105bpm and Ableton = 105bpm, so why are my samples too short

Ok, so I rendered out some samples from Ableton and loaded them onto the OT. Both OT and Ableton are at 105 bpm.

For some reason the samples have a little gap at the end though…I feel like I’ve not experienced this before on the OT, and don’t know why it’s happening right now

Any thoughts?

Check attributes in audio editor. If BPM not 105. Change it so it is. Also try turning time stretch off.

Yeah, that appears to be it, the tempo was 106.87 or somthing like that…weird, I’ve never had this problem before with files I’ve loaded onto it from Ableton, what might cause this?

No idea. I’ve had an octatrack for 4 years, sometimes it gets the BPM wrong, its easy to change it, no big deal.

Cool, thanks, I appreciate it!

OT sample rate = 44.1/16 or 24 your computer is maybe set to 48/24. This can result in slightly different sized samples.

Yep I’ve heard this floating around these forums before.

Also OP it’s helpful to put the bpm number in the file name. The Octa will automatically see it.

That is awesome to know, thanks!

Yeahh I did have Ableton set to render the samples at 44.1/16, but they started as 48/32, so maybe that has something to do with it
