Again new this week to Octatrack
Started her up today and sequencer wont play… when it receives midi start/clock play button switchs from play to stop and screen indicates playing… but sequencer not running, notes are input on the keys but not playing… light not going from left to right on the 1-16 trig buttons and no audio…
Help? im hoping its something Ive tried arming/dis the tracks, checking all levels and effects …
Does the seq start when you press play?
If not you probaply set the tracks to Plays Free Mode, in which the tracks are disconnected from the sequencer.
Plays Free is in the Pattern Settings.
To start the seq via midi, you have to set transport to “receive”. If you want the OT to receive midi clock, also set Sync to "receive:.
Open Project Menu, go to Midi, the go to Sync and set Transport and Sync to Recv.
One scenario where this happens is if the OT is set to receive transport and clock but your only sending transport and not clock, the OT will wait for a clock signal if that is the case.
