Would it make sense to have both a Teo-5 and a UBXA? The UBxA is obviously a different synth, darker IMO and obviously not a SEM.
I also have a pro800 and multipoly.
Just checked, this isnāt how it works for me.
Also checked the mod matrix and didnāt see anything that would be create what you described. Interestingly, OSC2 has keyboard note off and a DC offset to lower it a few octaves, but itās turned off so it doesnāt play anyways 
not in front of my TEO at the moment but usually this is done e.g. with a negative filter envelope so that the filter opens when the key is released. Cutoff set to max and the sustain to max.

Why not link 2 TEO-5ās since they support polychaining now, to effectively give you a TEO-10? The second can be the desktop module to save space.

But note that the polychaining OS is still in Beta (Nov 2025 release) and thereās still some annoying bugs they need to work out. In classic Sequential fashion, theyāre taking their sweet time fixing the reported bugs.
Thanks for the heads up. I was about to pull the trigger on the desktop for this specific scenario and I may hold off and just pick up a Redshift 6. Played one at Five G in Tokyo a few days back and it blew my mind.

Interesting that their review of the TEO-5 was so mid.
I have one (the desktop version) and find the UI to be fairly easy to use and the sound to be fantastic. Mod matrix makes sense, reverb sounds great, the envelopes are snappy, sound is fantastic.

Iād like the attack a little sharper at its fastest setting itās not as fast as other synths to my ears but itās really the only thing Iād change on it.
I actually donāt like the way the reverb sounds and itās made me think that I must have weird taste in reverb! Although in practice I typically turn off the effects when recording, so itās not an important issue to me. Other than that I love the synth. The filter brings the magic, and the interface holds it together.
I actively hate the way DSI reverbs sound, at least the ones I know from Rev2 and Take 5. Every patch that uses them sounds like crap until you turn off the reverb, then it sounds amazing. That being said, the reverb sounds alright if you play the synth in a band context - probably the reverb is designed for these kinds of situations more than sound design studio sessions. I also think you can use it as a nice sound design tool if you dial in mild settings that just add a tiny bit of texture to a patch.

I like the delays on Take 5 and the chorus and distortion on Take 5 and Rev2. What elevates the FX imo is that they have dedicated knobs that you can perform with, thatās a huge advantage over most other synths with built in FX.
Thatās not that surprising. Dude is very critical in his reviews compared to what weāre used to seeing these days. He doesnāt review synths the way a typical synthfluencer does where every synth is great but with one or two things to keep in mind. Heās far more likely to write a really harsh review focusing mostly on a synthās shortcoming and bad design decisions and then release a video/ sound pack with some of the best sounds anyone has gotten out of the device.
I havenāt read his teo5 review but Iām sure iād disagree with some criticisms he has, as i often do. I absolutely love this synth still after nearly a year with it, it feels like a keeper to me.
RE: the reverb. Iām not the biggest fan of it but its better than some. Its a utility here, not some big atmospheric soundscape effect. I almost never like built in reverbs in synths though. I currently have my teo5 going through a couple of spring tanks (for stereo) and Iām loving that.
