Is there any talk from Elektron in relation to OB being developed further to support the OT? Even if it was a stripped back version of OB?

Can’t be done, on the hardware side.
Doubt we’ll get anything better than Rusty’s OctaEdit in terms of software editors for the OT. Unless Rusty gets hired by Elektron and OctaEdit gets renamed to OctaBridge.

While there is no chance of the Control Panel, you can at least use Overbridge to record the Octatrack into Ableton Live through the external inputs of the A4 or AK if you have no other audio interface. So that’s something.
