Novation Circuit Rhythm and Circuit Tracks

Yeah the move is an evolution of the circuit brand but respect the elder

Some very good points here. The main point being that if you are not a Live user, then a Move is definitely not aimed at you.
Novation still could do something clever and come up with something left field. They have history if doing that kind of thing after all.

I’d say that’s a matter of opinion though.

A Tracks and Rhythm side-by-side, is probably very different from a single Move (bear in mind I’ve never tried the Move).

You have the Grid FX, separate master filters (on pots not encoders), twice the pads, twice the encoders.

It’s a silly comparison really though… I think people feel compelled to compare them because they share a couple of physical simlarities.

Personally I sold my Rhythm… I love the simplicity and flow of the Circuits, but I don’t think it translated well to a sample-based groovebox. Having samples in ‘packs’ was a pain in the arse.

Have to say Ableton really got it right giving it a good amount of storage!

That’s why I’m curious what will Novation do. Whether we like it or not (or if the devices are actually the same or not) they occupy a very similar market segment — a portable grove box with pads. I’m all in for competition because it’s better for us.

I’m looking at you Circuit Mono Station! Mk2 anyone?

Yes please.
There is a hole in the groovebox market and it is analog! Circuit Mono + Nova synths + drums would be an instant buy.

Also if the Tracks had easy patch flipping + mod matrix like the Mono it would beat everything on the market

Hard to see how they could improve it, tbh! Such a great device!

Patch-flip, patch-morphing… would be amazing.

A screen, giving full access to the synth engine with the 8 encoders. It would involve quite a bit of menu-diving to edit synth patches… I’d still take it anyday. You wouldn’t have to use it if you didn’t want to.

Sometimes you just need to slightly tweak a patch for your song, without turning your computer on.

Give us that, plus at least 4-6 melody tracks. Would be great!

Ha ha, nice!

Coming to think of it, Circuit Poly Station would be a simple upgrade!

I could live with the knobs being a bit closer together, and give us 2 envelopes with sliders for each. Insta-buy for me.

Although CPS is giving me Crown Prosecution Service vibes

While we’re at it, I want a Circuit for synth percussion via the Nova synth. I know it can do it. Several of my patch banks have percussion patches. Totally underrated synth engine! Do a Circuit Syntakt
