Yeah it’s kinda up to personal preference because when I make chiptunes on a gameboy advanced or original gameboy I like all 4 channels to bleed into each other and react with one another and I loose this sort of magic when I try to multitrack a song from a gameboy tracker or sequencer. But I have lots of friends that benefit by doing the multitracking so it’s all up to preference.
Would you say post reverb setting is less noisey ?
Maybe pre isn’t actually more “noisey” now that I think of it…
It’s just that with distortion and heavy compression it sort of can seem that way especially with high decay. It’s probably distorted compressed and raised reverb I guess… Depends on your definition of “noise”…
