Little taste of the “Scenes” parameters towards the end, but it’s difficult to tell what exactly is going on.
Best video yet I think… Most sound tweaking with decent recording anyway. along with the acid one.
Posted on this thread too… New Video from MusikMesse?
That’s cool as it is … and imaging layering samples on top of that. I’m even delaying making new beats until this beast arrives.
that may be quite a wait with no beats
Son-of-a-Bitch !!!
That thing is going to fucking fly off the shelf !
Hot damn…
I thought I heard enough to sell me on it at NAMM as it sounded beefy and
tough enough for me to be taken by it…
But my money just jumped out of my pocket and its trying to go into my
computer screen
WHAT THE FUCK
I don’t know about the name Analog Rytm
It sounds like so much more than that, it sounds too good to be true
I already sold my MD to fund this one…
It sounds to me that the difference in scenes is quite subtle in this demo. The other explination would be a limited range of sound design, but I can’t imagine that would be the case.
same implementation of the scenes on the octatrack but on the pads instead of the pattern triggers? or is this different?
it’s fantastic.
Looks really impressive! Maybe we finally got an all-in-one machine. I remember all this MD UW only stuff back in the E-U forum.
However, it’s not that hard to resist with a kickass A4, minitaur, jomox mbase and mbrane collecting dust on my table. My MD is also at least half unemployed, gonna still take it on stage as percussion backup due to so much experience with that machine.
The reason being: In fact, I can do all I need with OT+controllers+MPX8
@all you AR purchasers: I wish you a lot of fun when the machines arrive! it’s gonna be great!
i think it quite the same : pads instead of triggers, pressure instead of crossfading. am i wrong ?
This video has me really excited for the AR!
I have owned a Tempest for over year and sold it a bit ago. I jumped on pre-ordering on day one for the AR. I have definitely wavered a few times, been back and forth on whether I was going to actually go through with the pre-order or wait. I am definitely going through with the pre-order. This video really showed off the features that I needed to see.
You got a Tempest on your desk. I’m sure the AR will kick the Tempest out of the orbit but let’s see. are you going to sell your Tempest or combine them?
I just updated/edited my post!
I got tired of several of the big quirks/bugs in the Tempest. I don’t think that I will own another DSI product after this ride, the 2 that I have owned, Tempest and Tetra, both have some really half-baked features/OS. I feel bad for Pym over there.
Anyways….my drum machine future is looking bright!

The OT scene functionality is split into two different modes on the AR: scenes and performance mode. Scenes cover the instant jump of using the OT scene triggers and performance mode covers the morphing, each pad’s pressure becomes a crossfader. I wonder if there is a way to lock a pad to max/last pressure in order to not have the parameters jump back when the pad is released.
