Nord lead 2x bank select

I’m having trouble trying to change bank select for the nord lead 2x from the octatrack. I understand the bank select in the octatrack doesn’t change the banks in nord lead.so how is it done to say get to bank 9 program change 30 on the nord.

This is a well-known problem with the OT’s MIDI sequencer.

So, this is really irritating. The OT only uses CC 0 for bank changes. To get bank changes that require CC 32 (probably about half the gear out there?), you have to set a Midi Control for CC 32, move that knob the right bank, then send the Program Change again by swapping. The NL2X uses MIDI Control Change message 32 for receipt of Bank Select messages. See the “MIDI” chapter of the NL2X manual.

The workaround on the OT is to send a MIDI CC 32 message with a value corresponding to the Bank number on the NL2X, then send a Program Change message, as described in the linked topic above.

I encourage you to send a support ticket to Elektron to ask them to address the problem with the OT.
