Heads up about getting the windows editor running on OSX using wine on OSX, works a treat, some chap has made a patch to core midi that permits sysex with wine so it is game on. Not too fiddly to set up and the results are very encouraging, way better than old osx native beta and the java nomad half finished thing. This thing goes full screen #19201080

got it working this afternoon. it works perfectly!!!

took a bit of trial and error but is not too difficult and i’m pretty stupid when it comes to terminal stuff on os x.

just install home brew then wine and then edit the wine.rb file w/his patch and it works great.

also, a guy on the FB nord modular group made a shell/script that you drop in your applications folder and it works like any other app in os x!!!

so awesome…

Oh snap. Somehow I missed this. I’ve been missing my MM now that my PC is on the fritz. Monomachine is keeping me plenty occupied for now but I gotta try this…

Also, in my listing there is a video showing a little bit of the Editor working through Wine.

I think it’s important to note that not any MIDI-USB cables will work the same, as i had a lot of trouble with an M-Audio Uno. With my ESI Midimate II, it works like a charm, almost like it would work natively.

thx for sharing, i need to get mine back out :). I think i still prefer it over the sound of G2.
