Noob alert! Clearing changes made to a track?

Hello!

I tried to search the forums for an answer to this before posting, but I keep getting “internal error.”

I have had my Octotrack for a little over a month and am having a great time with it. I do have one question (at the moment!). I am mostly using it for live sampling of various sources from a mixer and am having no trouble grabbing good samples and manipulating them, etc. I am mostly using flex machines for the moment, and am able to change samples assigned to a given track without issue, etc.

What I need help with is how to clear any parameter changes I made to a track so that when I load a new sample, I am back to default playback settings. Is there a way to do this? For the most part it is not a big deal, but I have one track where the sample will not play, either by pressing TRACK + PLAY or in grid mode. If I go into the editor/slice/etc menu (TRACK + EDIT), I can play the sample fine using the preview function, but I cannot figure out what I changed in the playback menu to make the sample not play (though the screen icon shows play).

Thanks for your help. I don’t have the manual in front of me so apologies for imprecise naming of functions, etc).

In step record mode, Function + Clear will clear all trigs and Plocks on the selected track.
Also reload Part will return all the settings to the saved state of your Part.

Thanks, Frankie! I’ll give that a try. I keep starting new projects to get around this (my samples are one time use for the most part), but I figured there was a better way.

You can also hold each of the edit buttons for each track (Playback, Amp, LFO, Effect 1 and Effect 2) and hit the Play button to clear the settings.

yes!!!
