Non-existent Octatracks. What to do?

I have had an order placed for both the Octatrack and Machinedrum for over a month now with zero official update from Elektron. It is amazing to me that the only two products you can get brand new from Elektron are the Rytm and Analog Four (maybe the Monomachine), and even those seem to be in short supply. What is going on? I have already cancelled my order of the Machinedrum and am thinking about doing the same for the Octatrack so that I can allocate the funds for other purposes.

Is there any official word on why you can’t buy the majority of Elektron’s products? If it’s parts shortages like has been claimed, what is the update? Surely there is nothing confidential in releasing information regarding the shortages.

Even though I am dying to get hold of an Octatrack, I am not the type to just sit around waiting for an indeterminate time while a company gets things in order or decides to communicate.

Where are you at? thomann.de has them both in stock. Just bought mine about a month ago. Getting them for smaller resellers could take time.

i am in the US and have an order placed with guitar center, one of the largest (if not the largest) music retailers here. if thomann has it there in europe, maybe it’ll get overseas sometime soon.

eBay?
