Non electronic instruments sound packs

Hi there,

Do you know if there are Sound packs at Sounds From Mars thank contains non electronic instruments (pianos, violin, cello, harp, guitar, trumpet, clarinet, …) ?

Actually I bought all Sounds From Mars packs during holidays sales, but I can’t find packs that contain such instruments in the list (I may not have searched correctly ).

If it does not exist in Sounds From Mars packs, do you know some website that contains non electronic instrument sample packs, for free ? I found this one : [https://samplefocus.com/]

It’s to feed my new Octatrack Mk II :cheese:

Thank you,

Regards

Denony

You might find something in the list at the end of this:

Did you pick up the Found Sounds pack from SFM? I love incorporating those into layered drums n things.

I didn’t download any of these, so I’m not sure of the format…on my to do list but there are so many different types I haven’t found teh time to investigate yet. They may be of interest to you.

I looked at those- low quality mp3 unfortunately

Ahh well. I may still try them don’t mind a bit of lofi. They must sell a higher res version or that would just be a bit crazy!
Edit: still half asleep…forgetting you can’t feed OT MP3…meh!
I use Reason as my DAW and it has some ok orchestral sounds but I’ve never thought about going to the hassle of prepping some for OT caus of the inability to multisample……artefacts can sound cool tho!

Not exactly a sound pack but the new Albion Neo (https://www.spitfireaudio.com/shop/a-z/albion-neo/) is right up my alley at least. At 349€ it’s a bit pricey and probably overkill for Octatrack (if it would work in the first place)… Would be awesome to know of alternatives that would be more suitable for OT in particular.

Samples From Mars specialise in drum machines and vintage synths so you won’t find multi-sampled orchestra instruments in the mega pack you downloaded (their kits are excellent though).

It’s not at all extensive but Spitfire give away a nice sounding instrument for free every month in their Labs series: https://www.spitfireaudio.com/labs/

That Spitfire resource is awesome, thanks for letting us know! When I read your post, I was thinking maybe they’d take them offline after a month but luckily that’s not the case.
