I see and read how people are “supposed” to use these machines, and they are very good at electronica/techno/ambient stuff, very good for evolving sounds in an organic way. Many times I wish I had the skills/knowledge to manipulate these machines like I see on some youtube vids. Alas, my brain has never worked liked that. I have my certain workflow, my particular palette for grooves, and I can’t escape it for better or worse.
Here is a track that is slightly different from the normal thing you’d hear from Elektron boxes. This song was made with Octa and A4. It was even tracked into the Octa and then dumped in Reaper for minor polishing. It’s got some guitars, and some shitty compression on the drums supplied via a KP3. It’s even got vocals, but this is the instrumental version. Enjoy
