Hey,
So, Track 10 (analog) makes noise, a non continuous screeching sound, that resembles ground noise, when amp volume value is pushed over more or less 85. Any idea what could be happening ?
Resonance way up on the filter?
Is it only after triggering, or is it without triggering?
Also which machine are you using on track 10?
Happens which ever machine is set on it, filter off etc. Actually just found out if I push the volume to the max it just becomes continuous noise, same with a trig. It just “screeches” in the realms between 85 and 100, then becomes continuous white noise
Sounds like this
Do you have it connected via USB to something?
Is track 10 routed to FX ?
Yep, to my computer, using it through overbridge. I don’t have all the cables I need right now to perform audio tests without it though, you think it has something to do with it ?
@igors48 nope
Have you tried the calibration setup recently ?
No, it’s been untouched since day 1
Yes, you can try unplugging the USB cable and using the headphone out directly.
Does the noise disappear if you unplug the USB cable from the unit? Are you using a mac or a PC?
I would see if it persists even in a new project. If it does, then you can boot to the startup menu and run test mode by powering the Syntakt on while holding FUNC, then pressing trig 1 to enter test mode. If that doesn’t show any issues, you’re going to want to plug headphones in and check the other audio outs before going any further, as the USB could still be a culprit. Otherwise the only other think that may be worth trying is running a calibration per the manual. That’d be my last resort before contacting Elektron support.
Hope you get it resolved!
