Not enough material to make a movie from it, it took me about 2 minutes. I plugged 2 jacks : no sound from DIR with muted scenes, hence master track…ok master track Level…
I used an USB C adapter to upload from smarphone. Computerless !

Neat! You mean an OTG adapter cable?
Hey everyone! very old thread but I am experiencing the same issue now. What exactly was the solution in the master settings?
Hey guys, same issue here. What are the master track settings we need to look for? You said “check the settings” but didn’t specify what they are supposed to be?
IIRC Master track level was set to 0.
Better to set it to 127.
Level is the most obvious one.
If it is not the problem, give your settings…
Filter width set to 0 for instance…
I tried both of those things, and neither worked. It seems almost like a bug? I dont really want to start a new project to get around this, but I think I might have to at this point.
Seems like another user error.
What makes you think it is a bug ?
What if you set Master Track to normal ?
Can you hear something ?
There are dozens of resons to have silence.
If you don’t want to give details on your parameters (eventually send me your project), read this thread I should edit one day !
The Ultimate Octatrack Silence Calling
At least that way you can check what works. Save current project, Create a new one with master track, then go back to the problematic project.
I think it is really interesting to understand that kind of situations if you want to learn OT.
