No sound at Digitakt external input

Im trying to route other gear into digitakts external input for sampling and monitoring, but for some reason no sound is audible and the input behaves like its not getting a signal. Gear is routed first into mixer, and then to digitakt left audio in. Sound is audible at mixer when I monitor it, but something happens between the mixer and digitakt. This same setup worked before.

I recorded a short video, digitakt inputs look like this. That is happening regardless of if the other gear is making a sound or not.


Any ideas as to what could be going on? Help is much appreciated

Dodgy cable into Digitakt?
Have you tried the right input on Digitakt?
Have you tried it on a different project?

Hello, and thanks for the response.

The right input behaves the same way. The cables are new Cordial ones, I dont have exact name here but they should be just the basic “instrument cable” variety, same as the old cables I use as far as I know. I tested a couple old projects too, same behaviour.

Could it be a issue caused by using wrong sort of cables in wrong in/outs in some part of the signal chain?

Easiest way to find that out is to replace the Digitakt with anything that can monitor or process external audio and see if there’s a signal there.

Also, have you got it connected to anything via the USB?

Can you monitor if your in Overbridge Mode? Never tried.
