Reviving this old thread because I’m curious… @Prints , many years later, what’s your setup looking like now?
Damn! You should have held on just another 4 years, scale per track and some kind of MIDI out was just around the corner
I took a little break from hardware, just exploring plugins, and spent thousands on the most desirable ones out there, but have come back to hardware again recently.
I put together this simple little rack rig I sequence with a Squarp Pyramid, and I’ve really been enjoying it. It’s a Roland Integra 7 running through a Silver Bullet and an Overstayer MAS. I can use the audio inputs of the Integra 7 to mix in additional sounds from my Acidlab Drumatix (also sequenced with the Pyramid).
I also have this little Gotharman piece I like to mess around with; it has the SP filter board (SP1200 DA converter), and can make the wildest, deranged lo-fi sounds.
I’m currently eagerly waiting on a Roland MC-707 I preordered to arrive. Also, I’m thinking of maybe picking up a Digitone again. Oh yeah, I want to get a Modal Argon8, and have been thinking about the Waldorf Kyra a lot lately too lol.
It’s a vicious cycle isn’t it?
I accept my fate
When I clicked onto this thread, I was expecting something obstinant and bitchy.
I wasn’t expecting Prints’ farewell.
So long, homie. Good luck out there. Plz make good music
I’m looking at bus compressors - can I ask why you chose the overstayer? So many choices.
wb sir! Never too many scratchers around nautsville
that outboard looks sweet af
He is Back!
how is the Silver Bullet? This is a preamp with two recreated circuits from famous old consoles (Neve/API) right?
I’m surprised you let this synth go…
Don’t you like the DN way of FM?
It’s sick; adds such a lush, dimensional magic to everything.
I really liked the DN while I had it actually. I ended up letting it go while I was shedding all my hardware, and digging into software. I want to try the new features it has now; just wish it had the ability to modulate the filter with the operators, and do parameter slides.
