The RYTM was my last piece of Elektron gear, but I just parted ways with it 5 minutes ago. I’ll lurk on occasion to see how it progresses. Who knows? I might be lured back. I hope you all get the updates you were hoping for.
peace out

SEQUENTIAL PROPHET 6
Feeling you on that one and I’m sure that the credit card will soon be feeling it also.

I think you mean “a credit card in my hand soon means a new synth in each of my hands”?
Not one person asked…so, OP: “What happened?”
So OP, what happened?
I love my Rytm, it is as much apart of me as I am apart of it. It is the drum machine I have always wanted and much more. I will never part ways with her
I pulled my OT and Rytm out of my setup a week ago, but I haven’t gotten rid of them yet. As fun as they are, I just don’t feel myself getting anything done with them.
I’m gonna have the hardest time parting with the OT 'cause how much fun it is to jam with. The Rytm will be easier to part with. Love the sound, hate the pads.
So far I’m managing to keep my GAS for the Prophet 6 at bay, mainly 'cause I just got a Virus TI. But I do see myself scooping up a JD-XI at some point, and probably a Keith McMillen KMIX to replace my Scarlett 18i8. I love the idea of a $500 standalone 8x8 digital mixer with audio interface and super flexible routing. Can’t wait for that one.
re: ^
I doubt I will get rid of my OT anytime in the near future. The AR, I’m not totally attached to but I need a drum machine and it works for what I need.
I’m having a real hard time resisting the new DSI though.
Those who read prints’ earlier posts don’t need to
Yeah maybe there will be a 6 voice polyphonic synth update to lure you back…
Seriously tho, best of look on your quest for sonic excellence.
Good luck to you! I’m about to embark on a similar journey, though the Octatrack is staying. Trying to phase out my Machinedrum UW after it being my main source of drums for four years. Had a lot of drastic life changes recently and just need something new, so I have an OP-1 on the way. I’m looking forward to learning how to make music again with something different (and creating outside of my bedroom/studio).
^ I’m waiting for an OP-2 mkII, I want one but don’t like the current limitations and issues (which have nothing to do with the synthesis part).
prob has to do with Overburden taking the place of regular box maintence.
hes not alone, secret music is upset too.

I’m not interested at all in its synths, just the sampling side. Maybe I’ll quickly find that it’s not for me but the journey usually leads to some decent music and a greater understanding of the craft.
I have lots of sampling stuffs so I’m good in that department…still interested in the OP-1 though
lol I ordered another RYTM a couple days ago. I figured some updates with new machines had to be around the corner, and the ability to play samples through those analog filters overdriven is so unique to this instrument. Nice to see Overbridge was finally released as I just received my tracking info today

Welcome back!
