You can have individual track lengths but all are governed by the same (edit) time scale, like A4. (In advanced mode)

Function + scale then choose advanced to have all tracks run independently. Set the master to infinity if you never want all tracks to reset together.

i was pressing the wrong button and advancing the 16/32/48/64 bar for some reason and then when i looked in the manual i was reading for normal mode which IS just 16/32/48/64…

god knows what i was doing!
