No Drums! Melodic Journey on the Analog Rytm

Hey there,

did another Live Jam on my Analog Rytm this morning and thought i should share that with you too

Its a melodic Jam on the Analog Rytm, shaping the machines to NOT sound like drums, creating a Beat out of Melodies

Check it out:

Its a little bit overcompressed i think. Noticed that just now - was probably too tired this morning to notice  If you like it, you can find a not so heavily compressed version of this one on Soundcloud. Link is in the Video Description.

Hope you like it. Its great fun using the Rytm for something else than Drums

All the best,

I’ve been trying to talk myself out of plumping for an Analog RYTM, but this may have just tipped me over the edge. Very nicely done.

Are the chords being played with the tom synths?

cool stuff

Hey Guys,

thank you, glad you liked it!

@loquat: The Chords are played by the BD, SD and RS Tracks. The lower 4 Tracks share the same analog circuitry so they all have the Bassdrum Machines available. And that Chord is made from a Bassdrum - the BD Classic as far as i remember

Did something similar with my Chord Stab Tutorial a while ago, check it out if this is of interest for you:

Process is basically the same here - minus the Sampling

The Toms have very limited Octave Range; their tuning is also a pretty hard task. I usually use the BT Classic only. The XT’s are hard to tune imho. What you hear being played on their tracks are Impulse Machines - i basically play the Filters here.

@subbz2k Thank you for sharing! I like the track. This is something that I haven’t tried with the Rytm yet.

thx! its also something i havent actually tried before - not to that degree at least  But the Rytms Bassdrums and Cymbals are so melodic … its worth experimenting with them. Need to combine this with the samples one day - to create even more variety.
