Does the sequencer not record aftertouch in Live record???

On my mkii, I have parameters responding to velocity when i play the pads but then the modulation doesnt record. is there a way to fix this?
What modulation? Aftertouch?
honestly dont know. just got the rytm, still learning. but I have several sounds that have modulation with pressure but it doesnt record.
Trigs don’t record Aftertouch or the Pressure from the Performance mode. The only thing they record are Parameter-Locks, which means manually moving a knob while in Live-Rec mode.

It will record Note, Velocity, and Length, but not Aftertouch. Aftertouch is a strictly live performance (or external MIDI) modulation.
You could always try converting your Aftertouch modulation to a Velocity modulation.
This is a weird one… technically it can record pressure but for some reason only when doing retrigs!!!

Retrigs can be recorded …
Trigless trigs are inserted to record pad pressure changes.
Not sure why this only works with retrig but not normal pressure stuff… would be nice.
It seems to be fairly buggy though as it is quite hard to get it to actually record anything and when it does its not super accurate.
Also it only seems to work when you hold the retrig button, ie setting the retrig mode to “always on” and then just pressing the pads doesn’t record pressure automation but holding retrig does.

You can’t record aftertouch events into the sequencer but you can sample sounds you play with aftertouch and then trigger them from the sequencer. I get my best sounds that way.
