You are paying for the instrument as designed, if it’s what you want just think of it as having an extra channel when you need it.

Hi! Has anyone figured out how to get triplets and dotted in midi sync mode?
Beat sync only lets you repeat at the BMP, at 1/2 the beat, at 1/3 the beat, and at 1/4 the beat (also 2x, 3x, and 4x the beat, but not germane here). 1/3 the beat will get you triplets, but for everything else tap-tempo or dialing it in by hand is the way to go.

Hey guys, I have a Strymon Timeline I dont´t really use much, someone is offering a trade for a Zen, just would like to know if there any issues I should be aware of? midi sync it´s not really an issue for me, but well would like to know how´s the state of this too between users…
It’s a variably colored/dirty performance delay.
A small percentage of users are annoyed by a particular digital noise linked to one algorithm, but it’s not something that’s ever bothered me enough to notice. No build complaints that I’ve seen.

Has anyone changed their tube on this unit? Wondering if it improves the quality of distortion you get from the tube overdrive. Thanks.

I haven’t, but you could certainly try anything the same spec and size.
“changes the character” would probably be more accurate than “improves the quality”.
More subjective what you might prefer to objectively better or worse.
