A few questions foe any locals who can help -
I’ll be in Vegas that week and am thinking of flying over to LA - it’s only an hour I believe?
Is the club well known / easy to find? Is it ‘central’? If that means anything in LA…
I’ve never been to LA, I’m from UK, but wouldn’t mind making the trip over for this as I was just gonna end up hanging out in Vegas for weekend anyway…
And what’s the vibe like at this place and surrounding? Is it like a busy going out spot or a dark industrial warehouse surrounded by empty lots?
Any hints, tips , advice appreciated 
It’s in Silverlake. Very hip and trendy area. Lots to do around there. The club is an old Latin dance club. Downstairs they put on dj dance type shows but upstairs you can merengue!

I only got the chance for one ticket as well. They are kinda tough to come by!
I like the nonsense speculation these sort of announcements generate! It’s a bit of fun and you actually get some cracking suggestions/ideas out of it!

my guess is an effects mixer with a xy kaossilator type thing and comes with an elektron sequencer.

Thanks - I’ll pm you later and we can swap contacts - one more question, is Silverlake easy to access from say the airport (if I was coming straight from there) - or close to decent city hotels etc? When I say ‘easy’ and ‘close’ - I mean like 20-30 mins cab ride. Cheers!
Silverlake is about 20 miles from LAX. But in LA it’s all about the traffic. Weekends are easier to get around though. You should be able to get to the club in 30-40 minutes in a cab.
There are a couple places to stay within walking distance of the club. Nothing special but decent. Downtown LA is a close cab ride. More options there.

seems like a lot of people keep thinking of an “effects mixer with sequencer” and Im just wondering why (other than wishful thinking) - because its such a strange idea that has very little use outside of very specific situations involving lots of gear… i understand it would be useful if you own a bunch of elektron gear already - but think of this from a business perspective and you will realize just how small that market is… why would you want to limit your possible sales in that way? same goes for people with tons of outboard gear in general
also it would not be in keeping with the elektron style of having a complete instrument all in one box
honestly the idea of an “fx box/mixer with sequencer” is so utterly bizarre to me, like a niche of a niche of a niche… the idea itself is so insular
the only way it would be practical is if it was less than $500, and that would also not be in keeping with the elektron price point
So does anyone know if the new machine will be revealed that day ?
