NI Maschine, Digitone and Analog Keys

Hi!

I am trying to do a setup with Maschine Digitone and Analog Keys
and want to use the Overbridge VST3.

The Analog Keys seems to work as expected; I get the audio streaming thru the plugin and the sequencer syncs to Maschine. I can also record on the different Tracks on AK’s sequencer with AK. BUT why isn’t it possible to have different bars (pages) for each Track?

When I try to setup the Digitone the same way, but trying to control it from either the Komplete Kontrol keyboard or the AK, I can not make it work as expected. I tried to set the output of the Maschine midi channel to 10, the same as the Auto Channel on Digitone. But I only manage to record from an external keyboard on Track 1.

When I change the Tracks on the Digitone, I can play the sounds from the external keyboard, but I also hear the sound from Track 1 at the same time. When I change to Track 1, I hear a duplicate sound. And still can only record on Track 1. No response on the other Tracks.

I have tried many combinations of settings and really do not know what I did wrong.
Can someone please help me out?

Hi,

yes, that’s strange, but the Auto Channel doesn’t work with Overbridge. At least if you try to control the Auto Channel via the plugin.

But what works, no matter what DAW or Maschine you use, you can control your Digitone, AK etc. Auto Channel via Midi.

Maschine Midi settings

You must first select your Elektron device in the settings (Preferences-MIDI-output).

Then you have to make the respective settings for each track you want to control, here in the picture I have set up the Auto Channel Track (Sound-Output-Midi-Destination=Your Elektron device-Channel=Your Auto Channel Number)

You have to repeat this for each track that you want to control separately.

Wow, thank you for the detailed explanation.
It actually worked!!

What is the purpose of creating a Auto Channel in Maschine?
