Next update due

very valid point.
more noise options please.

I think a unison machine would be dope.

maybe this is a dumb question because i’m not sure what neighbor tracks do on the a4

but would it be possible to turn it into an 8 osc monosynth?

User waves!

I’m still wondering if there’s anything significant in the discovery of the substantial memory chip (apologies to the person that posted the pictures of the inside of their Analog Four, I can’t remember who you are, but that was a cool post!).

It would be nice to see some more save slots for sounds. I’m aware of the workarounds that sounds are stored independently in kits, and limitations breed creativity, but sometimes it’s just nice to have more space to move around…!

Word! 8-bit crunch
i think it will be huge step forward

okay someone gave me access to the early alpha version…

the bad news is, it won’t be ready until late next year.

the good news is, the A4 will then be able to make both pancakes and coffee, at the same time!!! :+1:

PANCAKES!
Presumably no other wee details you can give out, aside from the buffet options - which are very welcome

late next year? like 10 months to a year from now? bummer. in the meanwhile the A4 is already badass – I’m still discovering new sounds within it’s current capacity. seeking out the sweet spots of all of the filter bank configurations and trying out different ways of integrating it with my modular will keep me busy until the next os

#hewasjoking - in all seriousness, we’re hoping for 1.07 with some fixes and any extras they have cooking - not sure where the ‘imminent’ rumour started, i think it’s wishful thinking

at least 10 months, more like 12, 13, 14, 15, 166… but from what I can tell the pancakes are reeeeaalllly fluffy.

Being able to change the bit/sample rate of the noise would be one obvious and computationally cheap way to do it, and I find that lo-fi digital stuff piped through a nice filter sounds fantastic.

Jon (the moderator) said in another thread on this forum that there were a bunch of new tutorial videos on the way, but that they could not be released yet as they as they employed new OS features.
I don’t really mind what speed OS updates are released - better to take longer than to to release with bugs or poorly implemented features! but once there’s an official statement of something being ‘on the way’ the calculus changes.

if Elektron were to augment the noise section my vote would be for a random pulse, one that could be both heard and used to modulate stuff, pancakes are more likely
+1 for digital VS style waves though

thank you for sharing this information

i hope (read daydream) they’re secretly working on a way to do this between tracks

Sadly there will be no OS update any time soon, all Elektron staff are too busy knitting us all nice jumpers for the winter!!

So as the sweaters will be the next big thing on friday, there won’t be an update for the A4 announced until at least 15.11.2013.

Duh!

And what means MAJLS on the shirt?
