Wanted to share that really has been a cumbersome thing for me as am a recently disabled military veteran, and although a survivor, have slight Peripheral Neuropathy in hands/feet, meaning the little finger’s tip always hits that knob and do not realize it because only that fingertip is always numb…a knob push would be ideal for simple ergonomics as well.

Maybe the push switch is too limited in terms of lifetime operations for them to consider this. Make perfect sense otherwise.

Well, then function button and knob turn…right now it is one of the major things that bothers me about the A4 and makes me scared shitless to use it in any sort of live situation.

I had a support email from Elektron months and months ago saying I should hold on to my A4 since “you never know what the new update will have”, in regards to Poly…
So I’m confident it is coming. But when?

yeah the mod destination knobs are pretty bad, I have actually had one change destinations by the vibrations of the monitors on my desk.

WHEN is this update due?

Almost certainly on or around 23 of November along with the launch of other stuff.
I feel pretty sure the mod destination issue will be addressed. In many systems designers deal witha button issue called ‘debouncing’, where you have to filter button press data a little bit so that you don’t get the data of multiple buton presses from the tiny vibrations of closing a spring switch. With the mod destination thing I think we’ll see something similar, first touch displays it, second lets you adjust it.
I can’t explain why but I’m feeling very positive about this forthcoming update.

There are exactly three things I want in an A4 update:

LFO Designer (like on the OT)
Extra LFO (only Two? Why so few compared to other instruments?)
LFO Control of performance parameters (i.e. the arpeggiator).

Give me those and the rest all falls into place.
