Next piece of gear to complete OT

Hey there
Need some advices and reviews on what would complete my OT based setup best.

I already have an OT MK1 + RD9 + Minilogue XD controlled by a launchpad (im a really poor key player).
I’m looking for another synth to complete my setup and feed my OT.

I like Radiohead (kid a), Damaged Bug or other weird australians bands sound.

My list now is :

  • Behringer Model D : cheap and sounds terrible
  • Korg Microkorg : love it sounds but i don’t know if it would be interesting to pair with Minilogue or if it would be redondant
  • Digitone (1) : 4 tracks / multitimbral is great, but I’m not used with FM synthesis
  • (Tonverk??) : looks so fun and weird but still have to watch video to understand what it can do

I already tried OP1 (OG) and sold it within 3 weeks, was fun but sounded too much lofi and synth parameters / engines were a bit too random.

I’m looking for a fun things to use daily, I’m not excluding grooveboxes or other sampler like DT but I think it would be redondant with OT.

What you think ? My budget is about 600$ for used gear.

Thanks !

Since you got already a good analog synth something different with complete other sounds could make sense.
Arturia Microfreak and Minifreak comes to mind of course. Since you dont like Keys maybe the Microfreak is enough cause its keybed is something else, also the CV outs maybe could give you some experiments with the Minilogue.
On the other hand Minifreak is a toal bargain for what it offers and it got tons of useful effects too, other effects than the OT.

Of course the DN1 is good, comes down to the question if FM is for you.

I get a lot of mileage out of my Moog Subsequent 37. But it is really an aesthetic choice.

I would like something that does Rhodes-type sounds, occasionally eyeing the little Yamaha Reface CP.

If I were to add a poly synth, I’d probably go with a Prophet 6.

EDIT - just saw the budget constraint. I’d keep pushing the gear you have and save up some $.

Anything. Not only one, you can sample…

If you want something versatile, Microfreak and Minifreak are interesting, but boring to me.
Digitone 2 is much more versatile than DN1. MIcromonsta 2 and Hydrasynth have also a wide sound palette…

Something which would complement what you have well, while still offering new options? First things which come to my mind would be digital. Like, a Hydrasynth Explorer/desktop, or a Korg Multi/Poly
