I just spotted this by chance
Looks like Emuyas analogue approach of adding per-track lengths, speeds, trig conditions and more to the MachineDrum. Still in development - but can’t tell you how excited I am .

She’s trying to set up conditional triggers and scale/duration per track. But the new machines that were implemented in X OS will also be added. In short, everything we wanted in the MD without relying on megacommand.

Can you reach out to Elektron support and ask please, I’m unsure how this relates to the long term understanding they have with Justin

I think these are general questions how this can be handled, as there is also a great new custom MnM OS.
Of course all installation is done at risk of the user, but at least how I perceived the discussion, was focused on and around IP.
@emuyia and I first tried to contact Elektron regarding the firmware in early June 2026. Based on the information I have at this time, we will receive a response in the foreseeable future, but for now I agree with @avantronica: please refrain from discussing this or requesting links to the latest versions until Elektron has taken a clear stance on the matter. Thank you for your understanding!
