Dont forget that you can set the tempo down as low as 30BPM if you want to extend the retrigger period to its max.

Thanks for kind comments Guys. If you’re recording I think it’s better to trigger the drone externally. And you might have a better drone machine in your studio of course e.g. one with looping envelopes, wavetables etc. I thought this would be useful for people with a minimal Elektron-only live rig, say. (I hate going on stage with a computer!)

Nice tut, thanks! I often add LFO modifications of delay/effects, it adds new coincidences.

For sustaining a note, you can also set AMP REL (EnvA Release) to INF, just trigger one note and it will play forever.

Hi Franz. Never noticed that setting! Is it in a recent OS update? Do you set it running by hitting a key on the mini kybd? How do you then stop it?

Its like that from beginning, to stop it, just turn AMP back from INF, and it will gradually stop.

Yes, hitting keyboard key works.

I use that a lot with multiple tracks and play them very close at pitch so they go slowly into phase and out

it seems we like the same things. I love Macro photografy too. My Christmas gift was an canon58mm Achromat. Only a few test i have to learn the right way to use it. Have spend all my time with making music. 24h a day is not enough for a working man. :slight_smile:

Mine was a Sony a5000! The cover shot above is the roof of my car a couple of days after Xmas - almost the 1st pic I took with it. The a5000 has just been superceded and they’re going nice and cheap. I’d advise anyone to grab one before they all go :wink: About 1/4 of the size and weight of my old DSLR and better pic quality.

There’s not very much to Chain mode. It’s just badly explained in the manual and I’ve never used it in anger. Song mode is much more powerful and is explained pretty well by Cuckoo in his AKeys sequencer video.

It’s quite near the end, so you might want to skip. It’s quite a long video as he covers the sequencer in detail.

I’ve had requests for some sound design tips. That would involve the envelopes, so keep a look out. Very glad you enjoy the tutorials!

the possibility to mute sounds in song mode (also with AR) is amazing, In AR this might be possible with Scenes :alien:
