The mic is listed at €59 on this website:
https://www.bax-shop.nl/dynamische-zang-microfoons/teenage-engineering-ep-2350-ting-lo-fi-microfoon-voor-ep-40-riddim

I guess at some point they’ll start selling just the mic.

The EP-40 seems like the best EP so far though: synth engine, sirens (whoop-whoop!), and 128 MB (not quite sure how much of that is for the user) of memory? Nice!

nice find thanks…

Where do you see the “256mb”

Says on the product page “128mb system memory”

Which is the same as the ep-1320 medieval

You’re right — it’s 128. My bad! I believe medieval have only 32mb of user memory. Not sure about the Riddim.

Medieval is 128mb system memory that breaks down as : 96mb for the multi instruments and 32mb for user samples.

It’s in the product page description for them.

This Riddim demo is cool

This company is really cringe.

Maybe. Bold move for sure, might be stupid, but looking at the website, this is also a celebration of reggae and related culture and its proponents (long list of contributing sample artists). Is it cultural appropriation if capital music puts out a reggae record with reggae-style art on the cover and they make money from it, but so does the artist? Was it cultural appropriation for them to release Medieval?

i insta bought, only for the mic, which is going to make Teams meetings more dubwise.

I wouldn’t waste much time on the whole culture thing! I’m guessing it’s more TE hate than anything!

As a new owner of an OP-XY, I want to give TE the benefit of the doubt as whimsical, playful and risk-taking, all of which I appreciate and admire and which increase the likelihood of occasional mistakes, which is the cost of doing business in this way.

Looks like someone smoked around it for decades but then replaced some of the buttons and panels with newer ones.
