OK Roland, that is quite a few products . . . . It is going to be an interesting few weeks methinks.

Yeah, hopefully a sampler/sequencer/groovebox in there tooā€¦ Possibly in the ā€˜djā€™ category if thatā€™s how this stuff is being marketed now (pioneer toraizā€¦).

Edit - and thank god Roland will probably dish hard info straight off. Between Elektron and Behringer Iā€™m all teased outā€¦

If they miniaturise the 909 and 808 they will clean up. Imagine a 303 and 606 the size of an iPhone.

Maybe the long awaited sampler will be a mini SP808ex!

Roland gear always suffers from a major caveat of some description so we will have to wait and seeā€¦

All the Roland gear will have like only enough memory for 8 patterns, and 8 presets. PASS.

Iā€™d buy a new SP808 immediately, no matter the specs.

Iā€™d go as far as to say who cares what Roland bring out full stop!

The XT was the last thing I recognise as a product from them.

Long since passed away but I mourn stillā€¦

Roland do always gimp something really bad dont they. what a bunch of bastards

Interesting, that they consistently almost make good equipment, but cripple there boxes in some silly way / or make you pay a ridiculous amount for new stuff which essentially cheap VSTs in the ARIA content store .
For instance the MX-1 only usb hosting ARIA gear is nonsense. Anyway, we will wait and see. Iā€™m sending my TR-606 off for repairs today, hopefully that will satisfy my drum machine urges in the near future.

Maybe with the new gear they will drop the prices of some other Roland stuff. I really like the look of the SBX-1 but for the price advertised here in Australia it is a sure fire no go. If that SBX-1 had a Elektron style sequencer in built and USB hosting, it would be amazing.

I would personally love to see something the size of the Boutique range but something actually new, not a throwback. Or if itā€™s a throwback, maybe a budget-priced re-imagining of their 90s romplersā€¦ or a groovebox with a GS sound set! Something unexpectedā€¦

Awesome more speculation

I wish companies would just say what they needed to say instead of trying to generate all this viral bullshit interest.

Itā€™s like Facebook pre announcements.

ā€œI just want everyone to know Iā€™m going to announce somethingā€ hoping to generate fake likes for saying nothing. Itā€™s dumbā€¦ I switch off.

Just bloody announce it!

who needs this if you have a TR8 (or a Rytm)? Does it will sound better then a TR8 or even the Rytm?

CAs much as I loath Roland now at least they announce an announcement date that isnā€™t light years away.
Itā€™s a ā€˜keep your pockets full of cash until you see our sh|[ā€™ warning.
I reckon that Volca Beats hinting at the 808 colours really got their goat, now they will unleash on Korg their entire back catalogue in miniature form.
And fail.
Roland are the viagra breathed gin soaked fat bellied sports car purchasing heart attack hasbeens of the industry.

Only kiddingā€¦

PS If anyone here fits that description I apologise, any likeness is purely coincidental.

Or they will do Boutique-based real synths with 12 voices and real keyboard for less than 1kā‚¬

You should get a quicksilver cpu in that 606. Itā€™s savage
