I don’t see it happening myself. When OB was first announced I did think it would be an ideal fit for the OT but after NAMM and those excellent videos I’m now not so sure. I think Elektron would deliberately look to keep the OT as an “away from the computer performance sampler”. It’d also be an utter USB bandwidth hog if it was to allow full functionality of the OT over USB. The majority of computers would just enter meltdown if dealing with 12 simultaneous tracks from an AK/AR then a further 4 outputs/inputs to/from an OT!

What I can see happening in an OT Mk II would be incorporating the state saving functionality/vst like controls over USB along with better project/file management.

don’t get me wrong though, it would be cool to see an OT OB model but I sort of don’t see the point when something like Ableton plus a midi controller will do it all just as easily. The beauty of the OT is that it gets you away from the computer - I’d rather a Mk II focussed on developing that (more inputs/outputs, fx, potentially polyphony, etc).
