Got myself an open box from store (Octatrack) to pair up with my Digitone amoungst other things. It was a returned one i believe and didnt have original cf card, they chucked in a high speed one.
So my question is… does the original cf card have anything on it? and is it worth contacting elektron to get the files?

If you register it on the Elektron site they make the factory content available to download for you, and it’s definitely worth having to get you going with the Octatrack.

It depends if you’re into “sample packs” or not. Pretty decent sounds, but I’ve never used them.

Your not missing much. The factory samples are a bit meh. One or two good ones.

Yeah, best part of the OT is that it’s mostly a blank slate. Make your own sonic reality.

thanks guys i am in to samples packs and stuff but i have heaps already…
There isnt any project templates or anything like that? Gotta admit i was stocked there was the demo mode without the cf card i thought it would have been on the card for sure

Make yours! 
It can evolve.
- Set your favorite parameters on track 1 (bank 1)
- Copy that track to copy common settings
- Choose Master track / Studio mode settings
- Change machines / fx per track if necessary
- Copy modified part to other parts
To copy settings to all banks, you can copy / rename / paste bank 1 to other banks. Easier with a computer, but doable in 10 mn with OT File manager (using Workspaces 1/2).
