New Moog Teaser

REMAKE THE MOOGERFOOGERS YOU COWARDS

I’m mostly joking, but I’d die for a Moog semi-modular FX/utility box in 60HP.

But this feels more like a big flagship thing to go with a Muse. A new Sirin/Taurus desktop monosynth would complement it well.

I’d take just a stereo box with the Filter, Resonance, and Multidrive knobs please.

Was the MF-105 MURF even close to this ?

I don’t really think so. I’m thinking the MF-101 without the envelope follower.

The playful way they market this and the fact they are taken over by inmusic, personally suggests to me that it will be a more affordable (sub 1k?) product. The esoteric/witchcraft type symbols also give me that vibe, I can already see a lisabelladonna demo in with a lot of moody lighting and candles.

The sounds seem polyphonic, maybe they are doing something with digital components? They have already done the work for those ipad apps/vsts. Maybe this will be moog’s version of a minifreak?

More semis I hope

Has Moog ever done this sort of viral/stealth/tease marketing thing before?

It’s got a ‘how do you do, fellow kids’ feel to it

Wow! I really hope it only has a single overdriven voice going into a ladder filter!

I haven’t been moved by anything in recent years, with the exception of the Matriarch. But if a hybrid piece of hardware were to hit the market, it might interest me. I’d love to see more software as well. Just not virtual analog. Animoog has always been a favorite of mine. These days with Animoog Z, it’s nice to create patches on my phone and import them to the Mac where I can continue working in Luna. Animoog really takes me places where the Model 15 and the Model D won’t. So I’d be very excited for something different. Bring on the software… (never thought I’d actually say that… lol)!

The 105 isn’t close of that, indeed. It’s a fix resonant filters bank.

If you don’t mind having only two resonance settings (zero and quite a bit) and if you don’t mind having drive all the time (from slight to a LOT), I suggest you have a look to the MiniFooger MF Drive.

Comparing the symbols in the teaser to the ones in their new logo allows you to deduce that the name of this synth is ‘Messenger’, likely to be an expanded Minitaur/Sirin.

Woah! I can only see their profile pic thumbnail (the M and G match up) but I don’t use IG and haven’t seen any full logos. But I will take your word for it. That’s a great catch!

Yeah it’s just the M and the G that are known, but the repeating symbol (E) kinda gives the game away. I take no credit, someone on reddit pointed this out earlier.
