the Monomachine IS the Monomachine … there’s already a lot to dig into, i would look at other Elektron’s machines for other features or … Elektron could come up with an ‘all-in-one’ box to please everyone

I would gladly offer chorus/flanger and even VO-6 for this.

I’m sure no one there knows about or wants to support that platform. Its old CPU and bits now. My only bug report years ago came back with a “that’s the way it is” reply.

I totally understand that the MnM is most likely just the way it is now (and I love it for all that). I do however wish that I could change the synthesis machine without resetting all the amplification, filter, effects etc. pages.

I’m assuming that there’s no easy way of doing that?

You have to hold Function down when you press Enter to set a new Synth.

If you press Function + Yes to select a new machine, it keeps all the filter, amp, fx etc settings the same.

As for extending it, I doubt it! I think it’s maxed to hilt?

Where did you read this and from Elektron? I’d love some definitive word on this. Not sure I’d believe this anyway if Elektron said it as further hours of R&D aren’t going to help there bottom line… best chance would be a private developer alá JJ

I spoke to Jon from Elektron personally on the phone a couple of years ago, and asked him about possible improvements to the monomachine OS. He told me exactly the same that has been mentioned here a few times already. No room left for new features.

I haven’t gotten any updates for my electric bass that I bought in the early '90s. Funny though… it still sounds great!

At some point the instrument has to be complete. I’m totally okay with that. Less time spent being disappointed or worrying = more time for being creative.
