Looks a treat. Now we get a variety instead of pick any colour you want so long it is black! :joy:

beautiful. lust.

Nice! I might have to collect the whole set once this gets up and running

That Machine drum looks the effing dogs bollocks (excuse my french).

WOW!

Also the Gearslutz thread shows exactly why I love this forum. People here are actually nice!

Sold! What is the turn around time on average and have you thought of a cost?

Deals on 3-4 at once? I’d have you do all of mine as soon as you are ready.

These are truly the best looking paintjobs I’ve seen for these. Period. What is the depth of paint? Any resistance on the knobs/fader/buttons?

i really like what you’re doing here, especially the red MD and the one with the MD logo on a whitish background, nice!

INCREDIBLE work, the attention to detail and design aesthetic really shows in these pics you have posted.

I really like the anodized ones. Hah, an MD in 808 clothing would look pretty dope, painting the plastic might be tricky though, or at least getting it to be durable not to wear off after a few months, maybe getting replacement parts in the right colors would be best.

I am not in the market for this, despite thinking it is totally awesome, as I’m in the UK so shipping is out of the question, but how much would a custom job like this cost? And have you considered just selling replacement faceplates and knobs etc? Might open up your market a bit.

Then of course things like the Monotribe and OP-1 are very popular too…

Yea good work all around; the red MD looks amazing.

Oh my.

If I give you a color in hex or rgb, etc can you get the paint for it?

Still trying to get buttons and knobs sorted, the red on some colors might look… poor, but I have… ideas

need to mess around in photoshop…

hex and rgb colors will make things a lot easier. Remember colors that you see on a computer screen will not “exactly” match on painted and dried on the cases/panels
-knobs and buttons are very labor intensive (at least the way we do it) I encourage DIY as far as those go. I can recommend the paints and adhesives that work. I will post some tutorials if the forum allows as far as techniques . but basically we “scuff” the buttons with3M scotch brite pads then add primer compatible with either a lacquer or enamel. Heat lamp low setting for a few minutes and cure for 24hrs. Or a can of clear coat can work as well.
Photoshop mockups defiantly help.
Btw where are you located ?

Thanks for the love man !

Now THAT is what a collab between Elektron and a fashion label should be. Limited numbers of each design, identical machines but unique look.

You so right !
Thanks again.

I’m in TX.

And yes, it’s frustrating, the whole “different on various monitors” thing. But the hex code I got for the color I have in mind was given directly from the people that made it, so I’m confident it’ll be okay

Though as I think on it more, I think the buttons will be okay. Gonna go play around and see what I can come up with.

Depends 1-3 weeks max. We will have “off the shelf” products that ship out same day.
Deals . DEFINETLY !!! We will be ready VERY soon. ( you might just be surprised how quickly we move … )
Can’t really measure depth except to tell you if you look at the white octatrack no gaps between panels and cases. The screws also fit flush to the case. We
Resistance none whatsoever the octatrack potentiometers are “push-click” so they normally sit above the casing that gives enough room to play with when painting.
But anodizing like on the red machinedrum is like a second skin that could also be an option though colors are limited

I’m In UK too :frowning: but they look marvellous. Is it just the faceplates or are you taking the insides out and doing the base also?

Thanks honestly I wasn’t too sure about that one but I was pleasantly surprised at how it came out.
Yeah me too on the white machinedrum. Up close it looks even better. It metallic gold and silver silkscreening .

Dude I want a red octatrack and a 4ms color palate analog4. Let me know when the service is dropping. The a4 needs the paint job. Your work is clean as fuck.
