Here is the blurb:
'One’ explores the hidden world of feedback loops and EMF tones, recorded to tape, slowed down and processed to remove infrasonic frequency content. The process transforms fleeting sonic events into vast, glacial soundscapes revealing mesmerising long, evolving waves and intricate noise patterns.
The intent is for the listener to be immersed within each recording, suspended in the subtle detail and allowing the interplay between the soundwaves and one’s mind to generate a unique psychoacoustic journey.
Wave.Collapse is an alias of UK electronic music artist, Henry Oakley. Grounded in a solid foundation of Audio Engineering from SAE London and Creative Music Technology from Bath Spa University, he forged his sonic identity through his own record labels: the DIY vinyl-only Sinister Bleep (London, UK), dedicated to techno and electro, and subsequent digital imprint, Falk Recordings (Bristol, UK), which showcased a distinctive blend of left-of-centre house and techno to a global audience, earning Oakley critical support from industry heavyweights such as Groove Armada, DJ Sneak and Terry Francis, whilst receiving airplay on BBC 6 Music and acclaim from respected music magazines such as DJ Mag, Mixmag, and De:Bug.
With a legacy built on these foundational projects, as Wave.Collapse, Oakley now delves deeper into his sound-art roots, exploring the realms of experimental soundscapes, drone, irregular rhythms and avant-garde electronica.
