New Analog Rytm Sound Pack: ACID!

Hello fellow Elektronauts: today is 3/03… the perfect day to share a new sound pack for the Analog Rytm: ACID!

The concept behind ACID is to enable the Rytm to rock a full live set based on sounds of both classic and modern acid tunes. Filled with hundreds of bass samples and 16 original drum kits based on classic drum machine sounds, it’s also a great tool set for various genres.

[ul]
[li]Over 500 one-shot samples contained in sample-chains[/li]
[li]16 kits with scene and performance macros: use the Rtym pads to tweak the overdrive, filters, and FX on the bass for expressive bass lines.[/li]
[li]Recorded from various machines: Future Retro Revolution (realistic TB-303 sounds) , Jomox Airbase 99 ( raw TR-909 / 808-like sounds), Vermona DRM1 MKIII, TR-606, Boss DR-110 (modded), etc.[/li]
[li]Bass samples include individual notes and multiple variations for accents, filters, square wave, saw wave, and a selection of real GLIDES for that true acid bass vibe.[/li]
[/ul]

It’s a super fun sound pack with 16 preset patterns for jamming, and it will be interesting to hear what kinds of things others come up with using this pack. Enjoy!

Workflow Notes: This pack uses sample chains and thus has a particular workflow that differs from the Analog Rytm Vermona DRM1 MKIII Sound Pack. The ACID pack uses the BT and LT tracks for bass sounds, with the rest of the drum sounds arranged as usual.

It has chains containing drums (kicks, snares, claps, etc.) so it’s easy to make new drum kits just by moving the start and end parameters in the sample page, thus moving through sounds in the sample-chain.

The bass sample chains contain individually recorded notes (5 octaves) with two accent levels each, and there are chains that contain multiple filter settings, which are C-notes at various octave and filter settings. These can be pitched and/or used in chromatic mode with the pads to get filter variations.

There are also glide chains where you can insert a selection of glides that automatically work at 128 bpm, or they can be pitched to work however you want to fit them in your sequence. There are multiple ways to make bass lines with this pack, so feel free to experiment and have fun!

I feel like an idiot,…

anyway, great customer service !! :+1:
now i´m gonna lay down some lines…

Nice… would love to hear how it all works out!
Have fun!

Just picked this up, it’s fantastic!

Glad you like it, Corey!
Nice avatar btw: Elektron machines and cats. Can’t go wrong. (Unless maybe they cough up a hairball on them - I gotta keep reminding myself to buy the Elektron protective lids before it’s too late! :sob: )

nice sounds and video…and da cat! :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah, that’s Gongchi. She gets jealous when I give too much attention to the machines and tries to compete for attention.
Does that scenario sound familiar to anyone else?

This sound pack uses sample chains, so this blog post explains a bit more about using them in the Rytm.

It also links to a nice sample slice calculator to help remember the start and end point increments of the samples within the sample chain.

why do all of those soundpacks never contain any sounds for the actual machines?

Because as several threads before have pointed out the machines are basic and mostly suck and sample manipulation through the filters is where its at with the RYTM. (Tongue half in mouth  )

Extremely cool! I was just looking for an Acid sample library that I was going to cut up and send to the AR. You just saved me a couple of days

Bloatfield, glad to be of service! Let me know how it all works out for you.
I went overboard in the recording process trying to get the most settings possible for realistic acid bass sounds, that’s why there are so many samples in the pack. Enjoy!
