I know nothing about trackers but it looks cool, like a gameboy on steroids.

This looks really fun! Trackers do seem to be making a comeback lately
I love the concept, but when I first saw that image I assumed it was just a prototype.
Strange placement with the knobs on top of the screen… How do you see what is changing on the screen when using those knobs…
This is something I have been waiting long from NerdSeq - the tracker module was fun and plugging in a game controller was very cool too!
However, Polyend tracker seems mighty compared to this, which I am sure the pricing of these units will reflect that.

The Nanoloop Hardware that is being prototyped right now seems similar with the gameboy style design, minus the screen though.
Looks kind of odd, I wonder if they decided to rush a bit once word of the polyend project was out… there initial plan for this tracker was to have stuff like a sid voice and other game related synthesis in it aswell, wonder if they just decided it was too much work or pressure from competition.
Isn’t the NerdSynth a separate project?

Ok so zooming in on the image, you can see the print lines from the 3D printer. This can’t possibly be the final hardware.
Just to clearify some things:
So of course this is a pre-production prototype and the case is currently self made. The basis is derived from the NerdSEQ which is already some time in the market and on a solid base.
Usually a new Prototype of the Nerdsynth was planned for this years Superbooth, but the plans changed over the last year and the Nerdsynth was going to be a different product than i had in mind before (as in bigger), while working it out. The portable idea has been in my mind for a long time, starting with all the Nerdsynth prototypes. And yes, the romours about the Tracker got me speed up a bit, since i was busy with the next step. The PE Tracker seems very cool and i’m sure it will be received well. I expect it also to be for a different audience.
So yes, prototyping, and next step, working on everything to get it into betatesting. And the specs will differ only slightly from the end product.

Looking forward to it. Is there anything you can say about the internal sound sources?
The form factor is beautiful, I’d love to have this with me on my lunch break. I wish for a reverb and a delay.

cool kind of sad to see some of the synth options maybe no longer being in it, but yeah probably best to strike when the iron is hot and there is a lot of interest in trackers. ( I would still love for a spot to cram a sid chip into it 
)
For Me personally, you can never have enough Trackers so I stoked!!! Looks awesome even in prototype form, I can wait to get at it honestly!!
Nerdsynth is definitely not dead! But since i’m a 1 man company all takes time. This is the logic step and you probably saw already that there is also a NSA (Nerd Sound Adapter) port.

Production is being held up by the pandemic.
did this end up getting shelved completely or is it still in the works?
