Hey, fellow Elektronauts!
I’m working on an ambient project somewhat in the same realm as Murcof, Biosphere (and I’m using my octatrack for all things rhythmic and mangled).
I’m looking for someone to take my mixes (logic x) a step further than I am capable of, both due to old mac, lack of time and expertise. There are so many services out there…Any suggestions for pro mixers that have experience with ambient and have mixing credits on label releases I can listen to on Deezer/Spotify etc?
Hey, I’m on pc (I don’t have logic… ) but if you can get me stems I’m happy to mix a track and if you like it I get paid/do further work if you have other tracks, or if you don’t like it then no worries. I have label releases but only my own music and it’s intentionally lo-fi stuff. Not something I’d shop around to get mixing work…but I’m broke atm so I’d be interested to try to mix some other people’s work ‘properly’ pm me if interested
Thank you for the offer. Will definitely keep it in mind. I am, however, rather interested in hearing released examples of peoples work in order to get a feeling for whether or not we’re on the same page sonically.
Cheers!
OK dude, no worries. Let me know if you change your mind. I could probably mimic whichever production style you want no problem, could just send me your tracks and a few reference track links for me to aim at but I understand you might want someone with more experience/shared knowledge/refs in your genre…
P. S. I just listened to some of this Murcof record to get an idea of what you’re doing. Thanks for the heads up, nice sounding album! Thats a pretty easy sound to mix. Sounds a little like my own stuff but a million times less hectic/cluttered and before I run stuff through shitty cassette for lo-fi… Reckon I could probably do a good job for you on stuff that sounds like this. Like I said, can do a taster mix for you, no hard feelings if you don’t like it give me a shout if you change your mind mate.
