I’ve had the takt 2 and tone 2 afew weeks now and I’m still having trouble with the simplest things like getting a simple step or live recording to play back
Feeling completely lost I thought it would be fairly simple to at least make drum beats but even that seems to have me beat any tips on what I’m doing wrong would be greatly appreciated after such a big investment
Hi DG, did you take a look at True Cuckoo’s tutorials on Youtube? They’re usually pretty slow-paced and cover a lot of stuff in bit-sized chunks.

It’s been a daily struggle trying to get things to work
I think I had minor success once 
It is very healthy to feel lost if you are new with such a machine. I had this when I bought rytm mk1 when it was released. Felt very frustrating, I felt I was stupid.
Some good videos might help. But more important: find your flow. Dont think you need to know everything. You just need enough to be up and running, than you can find out.
Also I still learn new possibilities in my dt2
And most of the people who seem like they know everything very well and show this on yt, they usually just show their ego.
No worries. I took the plunge as a non-experienced non-musician with the same devices…I can’t say I’ve mastered them yet, mostly I’m struggling a bit with making my own unique sounds, but Cuckoo (and like mentioned above, XNB also makes some thorough tutorials) really taught me a lot about basic operations. Get a drink, put on his video, put the Elektron next to the laptop, and pause to play with the things he’s showing you

Excellent advice. That’s exactly how I learnt my 1st elektron device.
I got something going after creating a new project I’m able to play back a recording
Gonna be watching a lot of tutorials 
I’m sending clock from mc6 pro to both electrons working nicely but despite hours of trials and 50 different cables I can’t get 1010 black box to receive any clock info
Maybe not possible
Question for another forum I’m guessing
But I’m excited to see what comes from these dual trons besides a bad case of option paralysis 
I’m curious to know why you’re using this device to send clock to the Elektrons? With MIDI cables, the Elektrons work well together.
Just make sure you have not muted pads/sounds ect.I spent ages thinking my DT might be broke because some samples would not play back even tho the lights were triggering )))
Are you trying to play back long samples like loops? Have you tried using the factory samples to make your first beats?
