Need help figuring out the source of clicks before I go insane

I didn’t post this in the Elektron gear forums because I’m honestly not sure what’s going on. Attached are 2 audio files. What’s happening during my playback is that when I change patterns in this one particular song, I am getting these single clicks on the downbeat. Listen to the SINGLE HIT file and you can hear it on the kick. Then listen to the LOOP and you can hear it as I change patterns. In the loop, you can hear it a 3 seconds and then again at 7 seconds.

What’s very very insanely odd is that it only happens if everything is running at the same time. This song is using the DN, DT, and an iPad. If I solo tracks, it doesn’t happen, if I mute just one whole device, it doesn’t happen. It only occurs when at least the DN and DT are playing at the same time (with the DT fed into the DN). It’s not happening on any other projects. I thought maybe it was the DN voice allocation stuff, but again, if I play the DN tracks by itself with the iPad, it doesn’t happen. I tried even recording everything via OB as stems to try and catch it somewhere, but it didn’t happen then, either.

I’m going insane here. Any ideas?

Admittedly I only listened on my phone and this is a pure guess but could it be that when switching patterns some of the tracks aren’t at a zero crossing so they each produce a small click? And the reason that you only hear it more clearly when all boxes are in play is that it’s cumulative, so all the smaller clicks add up and produce the big click that you are hearing? Not a solution to your problem but that’s what I’d guess is happening.

I thought about that, too. The only reason I haven’t settled on that yet is that this project has 5 full songs, 1 per bank, and this one is the only one that does it. They’re all equally crazy and full, too. That doesn’t mean it’s not the case, I just don’t know why this one specifically would do it.
