Need advice on iOS App and Sampler

Hey,

preparing for recent gig and need something very simple - cheap - better free - ios sampler app which allow me to upload 128 samples into individual “slots”, assign each of them to midi note and just trigger with my Digitakt (which is the main sequencer and instrument ).

no need in time stretch, deep processing or anything like that, just “ok” quality and no limitations on sample length.

for the future… I would really love to have additional 8 channels of sampling for live and studio use, had thoughts to add OT to the setup, but probably it will be overkill for what I want. I just need a solid sampler with hi quality sound, no memory limitation (reading from SD / disk ), with time stretching and with deep sample editing tools, good midi implementation to catch DT to CC parameters, etc… pro level tool. I don’t know… is there something like this around? was thinking to get Dave Rossum Assimil8or just for this but don’t want to start eurorack (already lost myself in Buchla / frac world… too much stuff ). And with additional MIDI>CV + filter modules + mixer + blah blah… Maybe it’s easier to get OT… : )

Was thinking about old racks, but they are too big and memory is limited… Yes, laptop, that’s what I’ve done all the time in the past, but I hate to use laptop live…

So maybe I miss something and such a device exists?

Either Beatmaker 3 or Koala Sampler.

The latter having less depth but still an awesome sampler. The former having loads of depth and more akin to an MPC style workflow (from my limited use of MPCs).

Edit: And of course the utterly amazing Drambo.

@d4ydream is def. on to something with BM3, but keep in mind that it can be really unstable if you’re using 3rd party FX in it. Drambo is dope, too, and you could use the sampler to host individual samples, and technically, you can have like 15 total tracks of audio on a beefier iPad.

BM3 is exactly what I wanted. Also found that I’ve got old iMPC app, reloading it atm, maybe it will do the job as well. Let’s see…

But what about hardware solution? What sampler will be perfect as a “digitakt expander”?
Or this ipad idea is close to perfection?

Virsyn AudioLayer. It’s more like an exs instrument (in fact it loads exs format). Streams from disk so you can have a 3 hour long sample if you wanted.

The great thing about using the iPad is that it’s so easy to swap samples into the pads. I prefer hardware for everything but sample management.
