Need a simple, small stereo reverb for OT

For “good”, “simple”, “stereo”, and “affordable” it’s hard to beat the Specular Reverb v3, IMHO (disclaimer, I’m selling one in the marketplace, but recommend it regardless of where you get it). It’s got a bunch algorithms, a bunch of preset slots, everything always just sounds good, and it’s tiny. Super portable.

My “step up” would also be the Doctor A, and I am super sad to see it discontinued. You might be able to find it used, though.

And the Mecury 7 is definitely worth a look. Everyone talks about it for its shimmer and 5th modes. But turning off all that jazz, its plate is super utilitarian and fits in mixes. And the cathedra can do close room-like ambiance as well.

Of course it does an impressive halls of Valhalla. And it has great modulation capabilities via midi (with adapter), footswitch, or CV-that-looks-like-a-footswitch. And the shimmer is really nice when dialed in with subtlety. But you can ignore all that and still get your money‘s worth.

I have a Space so that’s what I use. Did you consider that to change the flavor once in a while? As far as I know the algorithms on the Space are the same as those on individual pedals right?

I love using a reverse reberb once in a while, makes a groove groove differently

I bought my Space largely for the Blackhole algorithm. In practice, I probably use Hall 80% of the time. I’m just starting to get into Shimmer recently.

I’ve considered it, but the size and price are factors.

Thinking what I really want is a dual verb with parallel routing capabilities.

I use Meris Mercury7 (& El Cap or Minifooger Delay) with my live setup.

OT + Lyra8 + Azzam Bells The Crown
DFAM does guest appearances.

Update: Might change things up and go BIM BAM BOUM.
