Native Instruments Maschine 3

When tied to the computer, yes.

Maschine also allows quick and convenient access to the parameters of any Native Instruments or External Plug-in: upon loading these parameters are auto-mapped and organized into Parameter pages that will appear both in the software’s Control area and on your controller in Control mode — exactly like Internal Plug-ins.

To add a bit to that, there are “only” 128 parameters avaliables and when talking about external plugins, they are mapped in order of parameters listing which is rarely what you would consider conveniant for sound design unfortunately.

Really accessible if they are in NKS. This way each setting/sound is saved with a preview & loads with a double click. There are many free NKS settings for different plugins on the NI forum. Plus there are some you can buy (I’ve bought a couple for UVI plugins).

I’ve got my setup mainly using it with my iPad, so I treat the MK3 as a infinite sounding synth that can create & record patterns.

Hi ,
I have Problems with the new custom chords function. How can i enter the chords with a midi keyboard.
I don’t want to enter chords with the pads.

I only want to recall the chords with the pads.
Anybody knows?

Oh, did NI drop a new Maschine update that includes custom chords finally?

It’s even got full screen window …

It’s 2025

Full screen !!!
Actually - traktor fails to start full screen on mac , has done for over a decade … I didn’t realise it was elite level genius coding ability to get something like that to work.

The update has only been out a few hours - I doubt anyone knows if entering chords with keys is possible / not possible / a bug. You’ve probably used it more than most publicly.

Ideally it’s what you’ve tried to do, it shouldn’t be something weird and cryptic unless they have no clue about ux

If there is no way to enter custom chord notes in via MIDI keyboard, a feature request for it should be made ASAP, now that 3.1 is still new

Did you catch NI also said some of their Play series instruments are coming to M+ this year? Personally all I care about is Kontakt 8 and all the goodies it contains (they added a bunch of fx since Kontakt 6!), but I know Play series stuff has long been a hot request for M+

Nothing but High Quality releases from Native Instruments and Maschine 3 Team.

Talk about putting a Release on it’s head:

Why is Serum 2 upside down when it’s loaded as a plug-in in the Stand Alone mode of Maschine 3?

I have never seen a bug like this before.

Has anyone else?

This is Serum 2 bug - similar reports on other hosts.

Glad I use Ableton Live for real work :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve been using it for a while. Much better than NI’s own script. Highly recommended.

Thanks a lot for sharing this! I was upset when NI dropped decent support for Maschine 3 in controller mode when a major Ableton update happened some years ago. I was about to sell my Maschine as I never gelled with Maschine software but definitely going to check this out!

Afaik there is also a fairly extensive controller mode for the Mk3 in Bitwig?

Is anyone else having trouble with plug-ins that show up in Maschine 2 not showing up in Maschine 3? Only about half of my Arturia plugins are showing up in 3. When I open 2 they’re all there.

Did you already try and rescan your plugins?

I rescanned multiple times. Reinstalled Maschine 3 as well.

Is there an option for showing/hiding plugins by type (VST/VST3/AU etc) that has been changed in the move from Maschine 2 to Maschine 3?
