Weird they’ve not shown Bitwig - the current 5.3 beta version is already ARM / Snapdragon native
Here’s the SonicState video for this. They also ( new ) have a Eurorack module to connect this. ADDED : There is somehow s two finger mode with the module.
Also for those interested in the RBN-1, but without the expression pedal input, there are various stand alone boxes that do expression pedal input to MIDI, some somewhat fancy with this.
NEW : Discrete Map from New Systems Instruments, a Eurorack 8 step sequencer, with a different approach to controlling order and note length, governed by an LFO and eight sliders that set timing when the LFO value passes those slider positions.
There are other modes, as well as one ( or perhaps more ) expanders. Due to ship in March.
Feels Buchla in spirit to me.
At the other end of the monetary universe is Katla synth from Genki Instruments.
The five oscillator polysynth named after the volcano in Iceland, could be described as molten in development ( described as “a work in progress” ) with shipment projected as toward the end of 2025. Whether parts of it will be analog or digital are to be decided. Will be interesting to see what this becomes.
Synthskinz
Lots of customized Elektron gear in this video.
Push 3
Much more.
Lots of options and choices, the magnetic ones can be quickly applied and removed. Black light options.
They were at both NAMM and BAF.
Synthskinz.com
( the website seems to be getting completed still. )
First I heard of BAF was seeing vids on YouTube today. I’m local and would have loved to check it out. C’est la vie.
Class Act, that is how it’s done.
NEW from Black Corporation :
Multiple effects combination rack.
This is really amazing. Not entirely engineered by Black Corporation, but they did the work to integrate all the pieces. Roman says, “probably the most complex project we have done.” Includes parts from Lexicon, and Meris for example, and a matrix router.
Not inexpensive, but given all that it does, not over-priced. Due out later this Spring.
Earlier in the video Roman showed the small MIDI LFO generator, arpeggiator, etc, stand alone module called Monolith MONOLIT. It is not from Black Corporation but done by associates of them.
This comes from Japan. Does anyone have more info on Monolith MONOLIT ?
ADDED : Thank you richie !
I don’t have anything from korg, but I respect them making all the patches available for all kronos users. That should be the standard among all mid to top tier boards of that nature across all the major brands
unfortunately this one is super expensive (750$). But I love the form factor.
horrible sound imo but I guess for drafting and on the road it will do the trick
yeh too much for me too, more interested in Melbourne Instruments’ RotoControl. But this looks so much better, for the monome crowd i guess >.<
@Jukka will you be maintaining a calendar of events?
Best as i can.
That is from this post :
If i don’t get to an update first PM me or post in that thread.
ADDED : I did some updates.
SynthFest UK - Sheffield isn’t happening in 2025
