Ooh I was really interested in the prototype they showed at Superbooth. I think this will be a fantastic companion for an iPad, or lots of other grooveboxes.
I can’t remember, but I have a feeling at Superbooth they said it was going to be a USB host. That would really open up the devices it can be paired well with. I hope I’ve remembered that correctly.
They never quite went bankrupt. Or they did and they were saved. They went through financial restructuring. They seem to have come out the other side of it now. I hope they make a decent amount of sales on the Carbon8 to bolster their future.
From the detailed tutorials their staff recorded during lockdown, they seem like a decent bunch.
Best in show so far. (I am not going to give out any other rosettes).
This looks very well designed with no shortcuts in production quality or software support (which looks good to go from the off).
Might be a cracking little travel synth.
Depends on the sound which he did not show at all. I guess he is the engineer-you want your engineers to design things well and your musicians/influencers to show what it can do.
Not what I am looking for (I do not know what I am looking for but I know when I see it). But it might just grow in interest.
That’s a lot of features for $349.
Full fledged 8 voice synth
Audio/Midi interface
A well built and very portable midi controller with after touch (poly?)
I have been yearning to get one of their midi controllers, but for a little extra you get a lot.
There’s no real way around that, being an electro mechanical system, with high precision parts, the expense is built in.
Less expensive – look for digital emulation. I am really impressed with the value of the new Viscount Legend One that i posted up-thread. More interesting to me than even the V-Stage on price.
Yeah, I’ve been looking into the legend 70’s for a while now, value wise more interesting as well. But these speak to me immediately, but “real” rhodes piano’s are expensive and I’m not really a keyboard player, so hard to justify. Still like the look and the simplicity.
Absolutely nothing since the announcement ten days ago. It’s interesting to have a product that has been announced, supposedly it’s at NAMM, it’s in the shops, Bitwig did a beta release to add its script, and yet… there is nothing about reviews, synthfluencers, anything.
But this is good for my pocket and setup stability. I have cooled down, most probably won’t get it, and use better my existing gear instead. Plus, I have spent my budget on the Polyend Step (arriving on Monday).
